Wilderness
The Wilderness Village lies on the shores of the Indian Ocean and on the banks of the Touw River Lagoon - and is almost completely surrounded by the Wilderness National Park (soon to be incorporated into the 100,000 hectare Garden Route Megapark). Tourism is the only industry in Wilderness, but the village is just fifteen minute’s drive from George, the capital of the Garden Route, and all amenities are therefore within easy reach.
